# Delete a channel

`DELETE /v1/channels/{id}`

Deletes the channel and takes it off its alerts. Queued sends to it are cancelled. The alerts stay.

## Parameters

| Name | In | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `id` | path, required | The channel's id (dest_...). |

## Responses

| Status | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| 204 | Done |
| 401 | The API key is missing or not valid |
| 404 | No channel with this id |
