# Revoke an API key

`DELETE /v1/api-keys/{id}`

Revokes the key. The API refuses it right away, and cached checks catch up within a few minutes.

## Parameters

| Name | In | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `id` | path, required | The API key's id (key_...). |

## Responses

| Status | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| 204 | The key no longer works |
| 401 | The API key is missing or not valid |
| 404 | No API key with this id |
